Opening a package can be exciting, memorable and a beautiful experience. The aim of this project is to produce significantly less waste with simplified packing materials and a packaging designed to contain the product and function as a shipping box. This means that customers are left with less packaging material to dispose off while keeping in mind the ease that should be provided while opening the package.
A classroom project done at National Institute of Design during the sixth semester under the guidance of Tridha Gajjar, Discipline Lead of Graphic Design.

FRUSTRATION
FRUSTRATION
The product chosen for this project is one of the instant coffee packs from Country bean, a premium coffee brand. The frustration in this packaging is the vertically long secondary packaging in which the smaller squared primary sachets are packed. The unnecessary tall height of the package makes it inconvenient for the consumer to pick out individual sachets or choose a desired flavour of ones choice.

EXPLORATIONS
The secondary explorations were made with individual compartments for each flavor for the primary packaging providing convenience and a touch of elegance to the packaging. The idea for the primary packaging revolves around the thought of inclusion of one sachet each, ensuring ease in picking a flavour of thier preffered choice. The aim of redesigning the coffee package is to offer improved user experience and also reducing the amount of space wasted.

THE IDEA
This packaging solution provides a quick and convenient way to mix the instant coffee with an innovative feature to this by introducing an inbuilt blending stick. The idea is to revolutionize the way consumers prepare their coffee on the go, eliminating the need for separate stirring utensils and reducing single-use plastic waste. This design will mark a significant step forward in convenience and sustainibility. The redesigned coffee packaging doubles as a reusable flower pot, promoting sustainability and offering a second life to the container after use.
